December Class Schedule*

Our December Class Schedule is out! We have lots of X’mas style cakes next month^^! Japanese Strawberry Short Cake, X’mas Log Cake and many others. This holiday season, you can make your own Christmas cakes for all your family and friends! Our macaron class is also back with new flavors! We have special promotion for members too.

Most of my classes are limited to 6-8 students only, so please make a booking as early as possible. Thanks!

You will learn two kinds of macarons in new flavors – Passion fruits Chocolate & Raspberry. For passion fruits macarons, you will learn chocolate ganache filling and for raspberry macarons you will learn how to make buttercream. And for this month, it’s a Special Offer for the members RM139.00 instead of RM195.00 (30% OFF)!

*About our classes*

1. Our classes are all hands-on workshop style with maximum 6-8 students.

2. Ingredients and materials are all provided and included in above price.

3. Each of you get to bake your own cake (by sharing tools with other students) and bring back your own cakes.

4. There is a tasting session at the end of the class with tea and cakes made by the instructor (Tomoko).

5. Packaging is provided as well. So all you need to bring is yourself and apron (if you have).

6. When you register for classes, RM50.00 deposit is required as we need to reserve limited seats and ingredients. We will give you account information when you register for classes.

7. We will send you confirmation email/sms a few days before the class. In case of reschedule or cancellation, please let us know 2 days in advance.

Patisserie Cacahouete Paris*

This is me about 3 years ago at my favorite patisserie – Patisserie Cacahouete Paris!

Next to me is chef Jerome Quesnel, an owner of this patisserie, and I’m holding his newly published book! I love his cakes so00 much that every time I go back to Japan I visit his shop in Nakameguro, Tokyo, Japan. (It’s just 2 stops away from Shibuya station by train.)

This is when I visited his shop during my stay in May this year.

I got so excited that I was staring at the showcase for more than 10 minutes and chose 10 over cakes. One thing interesting about chef Jerome is that he keeps adding new items every season and those are not only the traditional cakes from France but more like his original cakes that combines the ‘elements’ of both Japanese and French cultures… like this strawberry choux cube.

His specialite is chocolate cakes and those glace deserts.

Look at this beautiful form! There is chocolate macaron at the bottom of the glass. The size is big enough for two people to share. Hmm… it was sooo sumptuous!

I cannot wait to visit his shop again!

Please find our November schedule! We have following three choices(all basic classes) for this month^^.

1. Japanese Souffle Cheesecake & Diamant Vanille

DATE:       November 24th (Sat.) 10:00am-1:30pm              

    FEE:       RM180 (RM135  for members)

Japanese souffle cheesecake is a very soft and moist cheesecake, sometimes called as “cotton cheesecake” in Malaysia. Each of you will bake this in 7″ size mold. Diamant Vanille is a traditional French butter cookie. It’s sparkled with sugar and has a nice vanilla flavor!

2. Charlotte Poir & Apricot Sable 

DATE:       November 17th (Sat.) 10:00am-1:30pm —> FULL

    FEE:       RM180 (RM135  for members)   

Charlotte Poir means “lady’s hat” in French from its lovely shape. It’s a cold dessert – pair mousse. We will bake biscuit a la cuillere for the cake part and fill it with caramel mousse. The combination of caramel mousse and pair is excellent! Apricot sable is a traditional French style cookie. We will sandwich with our homemade apricot jam.

3. Strawberry Rollcake & Madeleine

DATE:       November 22nd (Thu.) 10:30am-2:00pm       —> FULL       

    FEE:       RM180 (RM135  for members)

This is a Japanese style swiss roll. The texture is moist and bouncy because of its unique way of making. We will bake it in 13″ size tray and wrap them with strawberry and other fruits! Madeleine is a traditional French butter cake. It’s baked in a petit shell mold. It has a hint of vanilla and lemon flavor.
