Hi there!

Today I am posting June Class Schedule. Prior to Hari Raya at the end of June, I am holding a couple of Raya Special classes! For special macaron class, I will be teaching four of my favourite flavours. Please take this opportunity to learn caramel factory’s signature macarons^^.

Hi there! I hope everyone has had a good Raya holidays. After a relaxing week, it’s back to work at the kitchen testing out some new recipes and refining old ones:) Today I would like to post our August 2016 class schedule.

It’s in the midst of summer in Japan ^^, so I am introducing a cooling desert called Valencia, which is one of the specialty of the renowned patisserie Sadaharu Aoki!

<Coffee & Macaron Master Course>

Coffee & Macaron Course is an intensive 2-day course designed for students that are interested in mastering  the art of making macarons and coffee brewing (focusing on hand-dripping). For more details of this course kindly refer to my blog post; Coffee Making and Macaron Master Course!

 

 

As for the date and fee;

DAY 1:   July 31st (Sunday) 10:30am-5:00pm

DAY 2:  August 7th (Sunday) 10:30am-5:00pm

FEE:      Promotion RM990 (original price RM1,290) – 3 more seats left!

*It’s a full day course with 30 minutes lunch break. We will make various types of macarons (more than 12 kinds) over these 2 days. Each session will start with macaron making and you will learn about coffee in the 2nd half of the day tasting delicious macarons and coffee. It’s a fun class and I am looking forward to having good time with you!

Tokyo Lemon Chiffon Cake  from June class!

This lemon chiffon cake has a little bit of unique texture compared to my previous chiffon cakes. It has a hint of sour cream and adds freshness to the cake that goes well with sour lemon!

Here are some photos of the chiffon cakes I’ve baked in the class;

Hokkaido Chiffon (Earl Grey Tea)

That means you have learnt Hokkaido, Kyoto and Tokyo style of chiffon cakes^^!

Chiffon cake is rather easy to bake cakes (only meringue part is difficult), so I hope you can bake them many times for your friends and family!

Happy Ramadan Month to all my muslim friends! And thanks for waiting for my July 2015 class schedule!

As I have decided to go back to Japan in late July to early August, we will be having limited classes in July. I received many pound cake class request from students, so I would like to introduce moist Japanese green tea swirl pound cake with white chocolate chip as our new recipe! I will also be repeating pistachio pound cake class and some popular cheesecake classes. October 2014 Class Schedule*

Hi there! Today I would like to post our October 2014 class schedule! This month we continue to focus on seasonal autumn fruits such as Pear and Chestnut! We have a new menu, Mont Blanc Rollcake, which is French adapted Japanese rollcake with a sumptuous chestnut cream filling. I am also teaching a class on Charlotte Poir, which is a pear mousse cake. I will also be repeating some classes from previous months.

I will be going back to Japan at the end of October for two weeks again, so our classes this month is somewhat limited! Enjoy!

Hi there, I blinked my eye and it’s already end of April! My daughter started going to Japanese kindergarten this month. She is excited with her new school life and as a parent, I feel very happy to see her enjoying and adjusting to her new life. But to this change and rather hectic life, I fell sick  this week…>< We all must take care of health, ya! And I always wish that my Caramel Factory baking class is a place for you to put away all your stress and give you relaxing and exciting moment. I truely appreciate your daily care and understanding to my shop and classes…

This 3 day course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge of coffee and macaron making, focusing on Japanese hand-dripped style of coffee making. It is known as the best way of making coffee and all participants will learn hands-on the techniques of how most coffee is made in cafes in Japan and Korea, as well as a detailed history and the characteristics of beans from different regions around the world.

The course is also intended to immerse you into the mastery of macaron making. Participants will be taught more than 10 kinds of macarons by both French and Italian meringue. The course is fully hands on and baking materials and ingredients are all provided. All participants will receive a certificate of completion from Caramel Factory!

April is a month that the new school and work year begins in Japan. We start everything fresh in April. It’s also a “Sakura” season around this time, when the season changes from Winter to Spring and the tree buds start to bloom. April is a month that we feel fresh and new!

For our April class, we continue to bake cakes with green tea and for our new class, I would like to introduce you a fresh mango mousse tart together with simple and delicious coconuts cookie!
